Is a developer liable for interest if they delay a refund?

While the law defines the one-year and sixty-day deadlines for refunds after contract termination, it also provides for recourse to the competent court. If a developer fails to refund the amounts within the legal timeframe, the purchaser can file a claim for damages or compensation. The court or the RDSC can then award fair compensation based on the losses sustained by the purchaser due to the developer's delay or abuse of their powers under the termination rules.
