How does a tenant's heirs terminate a lease after their death?

A Lease Contract does not expire upon the death of the tenant. The relationship continues with the heirs. However, if the heirs wish to terminate the lease, they must notify the landlord of this intent. The termination becomes effective at least thirty (30) days after this notification or upon the natural expiry of the contract, whichever comes first. This provision allows families to manage the estate's liabilities while providing the landlord with a short period to find a new occupant.
