How are multiple units in a single building registered?

A multi-apartment or multi-storey building is generally treated as a single Real Property Unit for primary registration purposes. It is assigned one main Real Property folio in the register maintained by the DLD. This main folio is accompanied by supplementary folios that contain the individual names of the owners of the apartments or floors. These records also detail the ownership of common areas, ensuring that every square metre of the building is legally accounted for and attributed.
