What are the requirements for a Landlord to sell a leased property?

Under Law No. (33) of 2008, a Landlord who wishes to sell their leased property can seek the eviction of the Tenant upon the expiry of the lease. To do this legally, the Landlord must provide the Tenant with at least twelve (12) months' notice. This notice must state the intention to sell and be served through a Notary Public or via registered mail. This requirement protects the Tenant from sudden displacement due to a sale while allowing Landlords to dispose of their assets for investment purposes.
