Can a Tenant remove improvements they made to the property?

When vacating and surrendering a property, a Tenant is generally prohibited from removing fixed leasehold improvements they installed. This applies unless there is a specific agreement between the Landlord and the Tenant allowing for such removals. Fixed improvements are those that become part of the property structure or are permanently annexed. This rule protects the Landlord from damage that might be caused by dismantling fixtures and ensures that the propertys updated condition is preserved for future use or subsequent Tenants.
