    What is the penalty for a broker deducting commission from sales?

    A Real Property Broker is strictly prohibited from deducting their commission directly from the sale price of an off-plan unit. Every Dirham collected from a purchaser must be deposited in full into the project Escrow Account. Any agreement that allows a broker to bypass this rule and deposit money into their own account is null and void. Violating this rule can lead to administrative fines and the potential suspension or revocation of the broker�s registration.
