What happens if a Tenant continues to occupy the property after the lease expires?

When a Lease Contract expires and the Tenant continues to occupy the property without any objection from the Landlord, the contract is automatically renewed. The renewal applies for the same term as the previous lease or for a term of one (1) year, whichever is shorter. The renewed contract remains subject to the same terms and conditions that were established in the original agreement. This legal mechanism provides stability for both parties, ensuring that the rental relationship continues seamlessly unless a formal notice is served.
