    What are the rules regarding the expiry of a sublease contract?

    The term of a sublease contract between a Tenant and a Subtenant is directly tied to the primary lease. Legally, the sublease expires automatically upon the expiry of the main Lease Contract between the Landlord and the Tenant. The only exception is if the Landlord expressly agrees in writing to extend the term of the sublease beyond the original tenancy. This rule ensures that a Tenant cannot grant a Subtenant more rights than they possess themselves, maintaining the Landlord�s ultimate control over the property�s occupation.
