What is the evidentiary value of electronic property records?

    Ali Faizan Syed1 min read0 viewsUpdated 1/2/2026
Article (8) of Law No. (7) of 2006 confirms that all Real Property documents stored electronically in computers have the same evidentiary value as original paper documents. This includes electronic title deeds and mortgage certificates. Since the register has conclusive evidentiary value, these digital records are considered authentic data that can only be challenged on grounds of fraud or forgery. This legal foundation supports Dubai's transition to a high-tech, paperless registration system.
