What happens if multiple brokers work on the same assignment?

Where several brokers are engaged under a single contract, they are jointly responsible for the work assigned to them. This applies unless they have been specifically authorised to work severally. Conversely, if several persons engage a single broker for the same task, they are all jointly responsible to the broker for fulfilling the engagement, including the payment of fees. These rules ensure that all parties in a multi-broker or multi-client deal are held accountable.
