    What happens if a landlord refuses to renew a lease without a legal reason?

    Under Law No. (26) of 2007, a lease is automatically renewed under the same terms if the tenant continues to occupy the property and the landlord has no legal grounds for eviction. If a landlord refuses to renew without serving a proper ninety (90) day notice for amendment or a legal eviction notice, the tenant can seek recourse at the RDSC. The tribunal can then order the renewal of the lease to maintain the stability of the rental relationship.
