How long is the notice period before foreclosure proceedings?

Article (25) of Law No. (14) of 2008 requires a creditor to serve the debtor with at least a thirty-day notice before starting foreclosure. This notice must be served through a Notary Public. Foreclosure procedures and the subsequent forced sale can only commence if the debtor fails to pay or fulfill the conditions within this window. This grace period provides a final opportunity for the mortgagor to settle the debt and save their property from auction.
