How is the term of a lease contract determined if it is not specified?

If a Lease Contract fails to specify a term, or if the claimed term cannot be proven, the law provides a default standard. In such instances, the lease is deemed valid for the period prescribed for payment of the Rent. This ensures that the Tenant maintains a legal right to occupy the property based on the frequency of their payments, whether monthly or quarterly. This provision prevents immediate eviction and provides a basic level of security for Tenants where documentation may be incomplete or ambiguous.
