How is a tie-vote resolved within the Owners Committee?

    Ali Faizan Syed1 min read0 viewsUpdated 1/2/2026
During the decision-making process, each member of the Owners Committee is limited to one vote per resolution. This equality remains regardless of how many units a member may own in the building. If the committee is split equally on a matter, the chairman of the meeting is granted a casting vote to break the tie. This mechanism ensures that the committee can continue to function and issue recommendations to the Management Entity or RERA without being paralyzed by internal disagreements among the members.
