How are discrepancies in the area of a sold unit handled legally?

Under Law No. (13) of 2008, the area of a sold Real Property Unit is generally deemed correct. If any excess area is discovered after the unit is handed over, the developer is not permitted to claim any additional payment for it. However, if there is a shortage in the area, the developer is legally required to compensate the purchaser for that shortage. This rule ensures that purchasers are not surprised by extra costs while remaining protected against receiving less than they paid for.
