Who determines the number of arbitrators in a rental dispute?

If a lease contract includes an arbitration clause but the parties cannot agree on the specific individuals to hear the case, the RDSC will step in. Upon the request of either the landlord or the tenant, the tribunal will appoint the arbitrator(s). The law specifies that the number of arbitrators appointed by the tribunal must be equal to, or complete, the number that was originally agreed upon in the contract. This ensures the arbitration process remains consistent with the parties' initial intent.
