    What is the mandatory notice period for amending lease terms?

    If either the landlord or tenant wishes to amend any terms of the lease or reconsider the rent for the following year, they must provide formal notification. This Notice must be served to the other party at least ninety (90) days before the contract expires. This window allows both parties to negotiate changes or decide on non-renewal. In the absence of an agreement, the RDSC can intervene to set a fair rent based on market averages and the Rent Index.
